APL is part of the industrial division of the Pletzer group of companies, which is 100% owned and under the personal management of the Pletzer family, and which has more than 400 employees. The company group also includes a construction / domestic engineering division and a project development / property division.

Pletzer industry employs 200 workers, and consists of
   ABH Thermo GmbH, a sales and engineering subsidiary in Vienna active in the heat and power engineering fields,
   IDM Energiesysteme GmbH, a leading manufacturer of alternative heating systems specialising in heat pumps and solar power, and of 
   the APL group, with its subsidiaries in Hopfgarten and Dormagen, employs approximately 100 members of staff and is predominantly active in the areas of heat exchange for the following applications: chemical and petrochemical industries and refrigeration-,  energy- and environmental indutries
